Lemon Garlic Butter Fish

A quick and easy pan-seared fish recipe featuring a flavorful garlic and lemon butter sauce, perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets of white fish (like cod or tilapia)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  • Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Stir in the lemon juice and zest, allowing the sauce to simmer for a minute.
  • Pour the garlic lemon butter sauce over the cooked fish. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
